EOnline.com: Another Britney Spears Comeback Is In The Works
E! News has learned that the "Gimme More" songstress, who has been logging numerous hours in a North Hollywood dance studio recently, is gearing up to start work on a video for another tune off of her latest album, Blackout.
"She wants to do the single 'Hot as Ice' as her next video and is ready to take the next step," said a source close to Spears. "She's been working a chair routine out in the studio and is ready to animate it."
To get herself camera-ready, Spears is going to start rehearsing up to four days a week and is looking to hook up with some top local choreographers.
The 26-year-old divorcée, who spent another three hours at home with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James Thursday morning as part of her new visitation arrangement, is "very clear" and focused on her dance training, the source said.
While her much maligned performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in September was also referred to as a comeback, the troubled popster—who at that point hadn't yet lost joint custody of her boys—apparently was fated to face far more serious issues before she could worry about the ol' song and dance.
"Now that a lot of the drama is behind her, she's really getting serious about making a comeback," the source said.
And what of Spears' physique, which as all of her critics know isn't quite what it was back in her heyday?
"Once she gets working out more in the studio, the pounds will come off," the insider added. "They always do."
Spears saw her children for the first time in nearly two months on Saturday, although, per the deal hammered out by attorneys overseeing her father's conservatorship and longtime Kevin Federline counsel Mark Vincent Kaplan, mother and sons were far from alone.
Jamie Spears; a lawyer from Luce Forward, the firm handling his coconservatorship of his daughter's estate; and one of Kevin Federline's security guards were on hand Saturday and are believed to have been present for another visit Monday, as well.

Brit Wigs Out Over White Dress
Looks like Britney Spears is up to her old tricks, making crazy requests of L.A. shopkeepers, the more implausible the better.
Gatecrasher reports that earlier this month, Brit walked into the Betsey Johnson boutique on Melrose Ave. in L.A., and wanted them to copy a Dolce & Gabbana dress that very day, and in all white. When they had to explain to the Britwreck that they couldn't do it well, she just decided to take a wig instead ... a yellow one on a window mannequin, for $100.
Elsewhere in Britland, Lynne Spears is singing the praises of her ex-husband, telling people that he's "stepped up to the plate," according to People.

Police Confirm Britney Drugging Investigation
Police in Los Angeles say they are looking into allegations that Britney Spears was drugged, the Associated Press and TMZ are reporting.
In a statement to AP, Police Captain Kyle Jackson says the claims "are being considered," though a formal investigation has not been launched. The Robbery-Homicide division will determine what, if any, laws have been violated.
Jackson added that no suspect has been identified.
Britney's mother, Lynne Spears, claimed in recent court papers that the pop star's former manager Sam Lutfi drugged her, cut her home phone and yelled at her.
The allegations resulted in a restraining order against Lutfi, who is prohibited from coming within 250 yards of the singer.
Spears, 26, remains under a court-ordered conservatorship.

Investagation, Finally!
The LAPD is finally commenting on the investigation first reported by TMZ earlier this month.
As we said, Sam Lutfi is under investigation by the Robbery Homicide division of LAPD for allegedly drugging Brit. LAPD officials first said there was no such investigation. Now, Captain Kyle Jackson of Robbery Homicide has issued the following statement:
"The issues regarding Britney Spears are being considered by the department to determine if laws have been violated. Particular suspects have not yet been fully identified nor has a formal investigation into open charges officially commenced. At this time we don't know whether or not a formal investigation will be initiated."

Wacky Attorney Still Claims He's Britney's Lawyer
Despite his inability to meet standard court deadlines and a federal judge's ruling against his claims, Jon Eardley, the attorney who says he represents Britney Spears, vowed Wednesday to continue his fight.
"We have only just begun the fight," Eardley said in a statment. "There is nothing that will stop me from dismantling, if necessary, this oppressive and unjust conservatorship."
On Feb. 1, a California court appointed Brit's father, Jamie Spears conservator over her personal and business affairs. A court approved attorney, Andrew Wallet was named co-conservator and another attorney, Samuel Ingham was appointed as the singer's lawyer.
Eardley still claims Britney, 26, hired him on Feb. 12, however, lawyers for Jamie Spears argued that Eardley's claims were invalid because under the conservatorship, Britney is not legally able to hire her own counsel.
Yesterday, Federal District Judge Philip Gutierrez ruled the state court's appointment of Sam Ingham precluded Eardley from acting as Britney's lawyer. Judge Gutierrez also ruled the case would remain in state court, not federal court as Eardley sought, because Eardley had no authority to move it.
Since the conservatorship was established, Jamie Spears has managed to quiet his daughter's usual out of control lifestyle which, over the past year, has spiraled downward into a whirlwind of craziness, including a stint in rehab, british accents, pink wings and ultimately Britney's hospitalization and the loss of custody and visitation rights with her sons.
Eardley claims the conservatorship violates Britney's civil rights and that her conservators are not acting in her best interest.
The conservatorship has been extended on two occasions, and remains in effect until March 10.

Lynne Spears 'Sings Praises' Of Britney's Dad, Jamie
Britney Spears's mom, Lynne, has been praising her ex-husband, Jamie, who has taken control of their troubled daughter's affairs.
"Jamie had to change his whole routine. Lynne sings his praises. He has been such a rock. He has stepped up to the plate," a family friend tells PEOPLE.
"He's gathered a team of reputable people who are around [Britney] now. She's not well, but for the first time in a long time she has people around her who really care about her."
As for how Lynne is coping with having her daughter in and out of the hospital, the friend says, "She's up and down. It's a roller coaster ride as a mother."
Plus, Lynne also wants to spend time with her pregnant 16-year-old daughter, Jamie Lynn, who lives in Kentwood, La., the source says. "She has to spend time between L.A. and Kentwood. As a mother she feels needed in both places. She's doing whatever she can to help both girls. She's got that maternal instinct, and it's in high gear."
One positive step for the family has been Britney's recent visits with her sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1.
"Lynne talked to Jamie, and he said it was a good visit," says the source. "[Britney] slipped into that motherly mode. They picked up right where they left off. She still has a long way to go [to get better], but that's what we hope and pray for ... Lynne and Jamie want their child to be whole again."

Star Exclusive! Adnan: Britney's Having My Baby!
Only weeks after Britney Spears drove to Rosarita Beach, Mexico to exchange marriage vows with Adnan Ghalib, the paparazzo is bragging to friends that she is going to have his baby, Star has learned exclusively.
And what do you know! The fallen pop princess' belly is starting to show a little bulge, in spite of hours of classes at the Millennium Dance Complex.
"Britney is Adnan's dream come true. He knows that if he has a child with Brit, he'll be made for life," one friend of Adnan's tells Star.
But while Adnan, 35, may be happy, Britney's family is not. Dad Jamie has stabilized her life and the last thing he and her mom Lynne wants is another grandchild. "Her parents know she can't handle more children," says a Spears family source.

Judge Rejects Civil Rights Challenge In Britney Case
A federal judge on Tuesday rejected a civil rights challenge in Britney Spears's conservatorship case, allowing the pop star's father to maintain his temporary control of her $100 million estate.
U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez returned the case to state probate court and sent a rebuke to the lawyer who launched the challenge, Jon Eardley, who had claimed to represent Spears.
"Mr. Eardley fails to explain why he can bring this claim for her in the first instance. He cannot," Gutierrez said in his three-page ruling. "Mr. Eardley had no authority to remove the case from state court. He is neither a party nor a defendant. While he claims to be Ms. Spears's attorney, the probate court ... found that she was incapable of retaining her own counsel."
Ruling a Victory for Britney's Father
The ruling was a victory for Spears's father, Jamie, who was named as a temporary co-conservator of her estate by the California probate court after Spears was placed under an involuntary, emergency hold at the UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric ward late last month.
As temporary co-conservator, Jamie has great influence over the pop star's fortune as well as her day-to-day activities.
In a highly publicized move, Eardley, a lawyer with practices in Washington, D.C., New York and Whittier, Calif., filed a complaint in U.S. District Court on behalf of Spears. He lashed out against the conservatorship as a "violation of [Spears's] civil rights," and requested the case be moved from California state court to a federal court.
Jamie Spears and the other temporary co-conservator, attorney Andrew Wallet, had called Eardley's move "a brazen but vain attempt to strip a probate court of jurisdiction ... by an attorney without a client."
Britney Goes Jeans Shopping
While the federal judge ruled in Jamie Spears's favor, Britney ventured out for an afternoon shopping trip. Spears, accompanied by her assistant and a family friend, arrived at the Levi's Store in Beverly Hills in a chauffeur-driven black Escalade ESV.
"Britney walked in to the store in jeans with a green top and a huge smile," eyewitness Brenda Gold tells PEOPLE.

Britney Being Shy
Once upon a time, a trip to the gas station meant a big-time photo op for Britney Spears - but these days, she's just in it for the fuel!
We ran into Britney filling up her SUV last night as she and her father Jamie were heading home.

Not only did Britney not cause a scene or even get out of the car - she actually ducked behind her jacket!
So what do you think? Is Britney on her best behavior after getting her kids for a few hours this weekend? Or has she completely turned over a new leaf?

Britney's Night Out With Dad
After a three-hour visit with her sons on Saturday (her first since Jan. 3), Britney Spears continued her family time Saturday night, stepping out to Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills with her father, Jamie.
Just before 8 p.m., the pop star and her dad were joined by an assistant, a family friend and two bodyguards for dinner. Clad in a purple silk dress, Spears smiled and appeared in good spirits as she headed inside.
"Britney looked stunning and everyone turned around to get a glimpse of her," says a witness at the restaurant, adding that the group lead Spears to a private dining room. "Everyone seemed extremely protective of Britney."
The party of six dined on a seafood tower with lobster, steak, french fries and lobster mashed potatoes. But Spears's good mood seemed to diminish over dinner. According to an observer, "She seemed quiet." After numerous bathroom and cigarette breaks, Spears and co. left the restaurant around 9:30 p.m., making their way through a pack of photographers with the help of restaurant staff.
Asked if he'd ever helped a celebrity exit the restaurant, a chef told PEOPLE, "Never! It was like being in a war zone. I almost lost my [chef's] hat."

Brit's Boys Pay a Visit!
Less than 24 hours after it was discovered that a deal had been hammered out between the lawyers in the Britney Spears vs. Kevin Federline custody case that would allow the pop star supervised visits with her children, the little Federline lads came to pay mom a visit at her L.A. home.
Around 9am PT on Saturday, a Dodge truck carrying Sean Preston, 2, and one-year-old Jayden James entered Britney's gated community, The Summit. According to sources, the visit is scheduled to end at noon PT.
Also inside the house are Brit's father Jamie, a pyschologist, one of Kevin's bodyguard, the court-ordered monitor, and a lawyer.
This is the first time the boys have seen their mother since the Jan. 3 standoff with authorities that landed Britney in the hospital for several nights. Until today, she had only been allowed to speak with her children during short phone conversations.

Britney Gets A Visit From Her Boys
Britney Spears was reunited with her sons Saturday.
After lawyers for Spears and Kevin Federline reached a visitation agreement Friday, the pop star saw her children Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, for the first time since Jan. 3. The boys were taken to her Studio City home Saturday morning by Federline's bodyguard.
"Break The Ice" Music Video!
Many have forgotten, however, that in the summer of 2007 Britney has shot 2 times the video. The first video was shot on 9 July and were shooting for Gimme More. The second part of shooting continued for Gimme More on 07 August and ended the night 08 August.
People.com and MTV.com announced that Britney actually ended on 7 August shooting of Gimme More, and then begin and end those of a new video. It said that the second video filmed in the day was Piece Of Me, but now we begin to think that the video Break The Ice was shot in the day.

Visitation Update!
We are LOVING this news -- Brit's and Kevin's attorneys have come to an agreement to allow Britney to see her boys -- and soon!
It's been what Jamie's been telling his daughter all along -- follow what I say and do what I tell you to do and I'll get visitation for you. THAT is the only reason Brit's agreed to stay holed up in her house and allow a bodyguard to drive her around the few times she's been out. Her goal has been to see her kids and now it looks like it may happen.
Mark Vincent Kaplan told X17online:
"Yes, it's true but the judge still has to sign off on it and fax it over. If that happens tonight, then then Ms. Spears will be seeing her boys very soon after that. But it's not a total done deal yet."
As for reports that visitation will require the presence of both Jamie Spears and a psychiatrist at the time of visitation:
"Let's just say that my partner Jim Simon and I have been working for two days and nights on this, and it will involve many more specific terms to be met than just those two people in the room. We have put lots of specific terms, conditions and protections in place to make visitation happen in the safeest way possible. None of this would not have happened if Jamie Spears had not been involved. That's for sure. He gets a lot of credit for helping make this happen. But we've worked very hard with the conservator lawyers, as well, to make this all work."
X17 XCLUSIVE!!! -
My Britney crew is telling me she was scheduled to go to Millennium Dance Studio tonight but has cancelled and will be staying in. It's too late for Sean and Jayden to be coming over now, but could Brit be resting up for a visit tomorrow? We hope so!
